Battle #37 - Joe Kubert art

Battle #37
Battle v1 #37, 1954 - In 1942, the Nazis begin using a new long range gun, capable of shelling American tanks from great distances. An elite squad of agents must gather information on it by entering enemy territory. On the opening panel, Joe Kubert silhouettes the new .88 mm guns for greater emphasis. His artwork overall is informative and detailed. His gritty style seems appropriate for both the story and the genre. Other artists in this golden age war comic include Russ Heath, Dick Ayers, Ross Andru, Mike Esposito and Joe Sinnott. This is 1 of 2 Battle issues by Kubert.
