Doctor Strange v2 #52 - Marshall Rogers art & cover

Doctor Strange v2 #52, 1982 - Nightmare, a frequent foe, returns not to fight but to beg for Dr. Strange's help. A soul shard travels back through time, endangering humankind if it is not stopped. From the Inquisition of the middle ages to the Pre-Columbian Americas, Marshall Rogers illustrates the scenes with an enthusiasm for history. Unlike his somber cover, the artist's best pages show Nightmare's realm, using panels that morph and undulate. Rogers does a remarkable job, despite nearing the end of his run. This is number 5 of 6 Doctor Strange issues with Rogers art and/or covers. See today's posts or more Rogers or Doctor Strange issues. See also this blog's Rogers checklist or Top 10 Rogers comics.
